Came with everything I was needing. I am tuning my Mini and would benefit from the higher rated clutch kit. came nicely packaged and once I break it in I look forward to using it.

i wrote the initial review for this product. when i wrote that, my turbo was worn out and was not making the boost it should. after fixing the turbo and getting the car running properly again... i can add some comments. the flywheel being so much lighter than the stock setup, makes the car feel like a different car on the hiway. the roll on performance is so much different its crazy. i did get the car tuned after i fixed the turbo, so the boost is higher now, but the fx250 takes the added power as advertised, no problem. the clutch just started slipping with full boost this past week. thats 22 psi. i ordered a clutch kit with replacement friction surface for flywheel, and tore the trans out. the bellhousing was full of friction material and metal dust. the friction surface was noticeably worn. the disc was worn evenly on both sides to what i would call past its service limits. the pressure plate is also very noticeably worn down. none of these components were re-useable. the throwout bearing was also worn out...sloppy, noisy, and the face was chewed up. now, take into consideration, this is a daily traffic, stop light to stop light commuter car with an extremely lightened roadrace style flywheel not meant for traffic or taking off from stops. add to that my wife has the bad habit of using the clutch to hold the car on hills, and she rows down thru every gear every time she hits a red light. taking all that into account, i will say im satisfied with the life of the clutch, and i hope to train her to just shift into neutral and waste the brake pads from now on....and realize the car has a hill start assist feature. wish me luck. i will be back with a report on the life of the replacement kit at some point in the future.

i just purchased this fx-250 kit for my 09 factory JCW car. i have an extended warranty so i did not get to personally install it. here's my first impressions. the entire clutch kit weighs exactly 4 pounds less than my stock JCW flywheel. i weighed the flywheel at 27 pounds. the shop weighed the clutch kit at 24 pounds without the release bearing. upon driving the car, the clutch pedal is lighter than my factory JCW clutch was at 127k miles. it is very smooth and predictable so far. there is LESS noise from the flywheel and transmission than before the swap....maybe my flywheel was sloppy or overheated/worn out... unfortunately i didn't keep it so i'm not sure. the gear changes are a little quicker/easier now, i'm guessing from the lighter weight, less inertia, lower MOI... and lastly, the engine revs much quicker and builds boost faster than before. its not night and day unless you free rev it, but it does make a noticeable difference under load. it seems almost like the normal turbo lag when not downshifting is much less. it just comes up on the revs faster and in turn, makes boost sooner than before. overall very nice change from the stock JCW clutch. i will come back after a few thousand miles and let you know how its progressing.
